Wonderful fabrics!

I made a tote bag out of the fabric with paper money on it and made a change purse with the jelly bean fabric.

You did excellent!

SandyinZ4 05-10-2011 07:18 AM

Holy Cow! What a great find. I have checked the Free Cycle site and nothing in my area...besides too many quilters here but that is a good thing, too!

Awesome find!

Krystyna 05-10-2011 07:31 AM

9 times out of 10 when I respond to a post on free cycle, it's already been taken. This was a lucky lucky fluke! Two weeks ago I got a gorgeous antique medicine cabinet that was purchased at a Southampton antique shop but didn't fit in the person's bathroom.

pollyjvan9 05-10-2011 07:35 AM

Wow, what luck. I made two quilts out of the two Dick and Jane fabrics I see in the stack.

FREECYCLE ROCKS! I am a frequent FR'er both ways. I love the whole concept. I just gifted six boxes of fabrics that I was never gonna use that were given to me. Cords, wool and polys. Lovely stuff but I know it would just sit. Viva Freecycle.

Lavada 05-11-2011 03:24 AM

Go to www.freecycle.com and look for your county or neighborhood. It's an online group where people essentially recycle things that are still useful by giving them away for free. I got rid of tons of stuff last summer and will do it again.

jhoward 05-11-2011 04:58 AM
