my 9 patch weave quilt top
1 Attachment(s)
after seeing a picture of a 9 patch weave blue and brown quilt in one of my books (lots of scraps, its time to quilt) i wanted to make that quilt. here is my finished quilt top.
i would love to have some ideas from my qb friends on quilting patterns. i have a hv mega quilter. i have only quilted a log cabin quilt on it. we are on temporary assignment in va (i pieced the quilt together in our 5th wheel) i won't be quilting until we get back home after christmas, but i have no idea how to quilt this. thanks for any ideas. |
Beatiful!!! Love the colors! Thanks for sharing.

I love those colours, pretty quilt!
That's a beauty! I think just an all over meander would look good. Great job!!
What a beautiful quilt!
It is a Wonderful quilt! Stitching in the ditch around each piece just came to mind...good luck on deciding and have fun quilting it. Thanks for sharing.

9 Patch Quilt
Love the colors!! I think I would do something curvy.
dd; thanks for shareing your quilt. I think I would quilt it with a rose pattern. I think that I will try makeing one with som ofthe scrap a my house. Thanks again for shareing.

Beautiful quilt, lovely colors. Since the lines of the quilt are all straight, I'd quilt with curves after perhaps doing some ditch quilting to stabilize.
I was going to ask you where to find the pattern. Once I realized how it broke down I pulled out my graph paper and colored pencils. This will be another one on my bucket list. I think I'd do a SID.
it's a beautiful quilt. love the colors. i think i would quilt it in a panto with vines and leaves.
Very pretty
Beautiful and love your color choices! Personally, I would look for a large swirly design. Or maybe a Baptist fan?
thanks so much for all the comments and suggestions. i have another question...i have left over fabric from the quilt top; would it look too busy to piece together these fabrics for the backing (large piecings)?
Wow this is so lovely! Maybe a meandering vine pattern for quilting???
Really cool looking!
Love your quilt ... and because of it just purchased the book it came from!
Very interesting look! I like the blues with the browns. Nice.

this one is beautiful! I want to find that book to get the pattern!
Very pretty quilt.
Well done love the colors
I love it, just wish I could figure it out!!
Really pretty quilt! Love the pattern. I agree with stitching in the ditch, but then I would pick up on the simple flower design in several of the prints and do simple flowers connected with loops.
very pretty quilt! Love it!

What a beautiful quilt! I love the colors you selected. I use a long arm quilter so I usually rely on her artistry to make decisions on quilting designs. However, I like someone's suggestion of a floral design.

What a beauty!

Very pretty. I have a piece of plexi glass that I use to doodle my way to quilting designs for each quilt. The plexiglass is big enough to just lay on the frame in between the poles. I have painters tape around the edges, so you don't go beyond the edges of it when playing with designs. I got this idea from a class on line. Use a washable marker and try out designs right on the plexiglass on the quilt. You can tell if it will work or not.

Beautiful quilt.
