I am making a queen size log cabin quilt for my sister. I finished the 81 blocks needed. Ready to press the seams. This time I decided to press them open. I sew them open, so this helps a great deal. The other day I had the iron out and was pressing the seams on some blocks. I decided to take a shower. I came back.....DH was actually sitting there, pressing the seams. What a God send, I am now half way through the 81 blocks.
He also took the pressed ones, put them on the table 9 blocks each, turning each group so they are easily identifiable. He then placed a sheet of plain paper and some books to help keeping them flat till I can join them. |
