I am making a queen size log cabin quilt for my sister. I finished the 81 blocks needed. Ready to press the seams. This time I decided to press them open. I sew them open, so this helps a great deal. The other day I had the iron out and was pressing the seams on some blocks. I decided to take a shower. I came back.....DH was actually sitting there, pressing the seams. What a God send, I am now half way through the 81 blocks.
He also took the pressed ones, put them on the table 9 blocks each, turning each group so they are easily identifiable. He then placed a sheet of plain paper and some books to help keeping them flat till I can join them.

He must have been really bored! LOL. That was nice of him to help and actually know what to do.

Wouldn't happen around here. My DH loves to offer his opinions on how things should look or be done but other than that I don't have that kind of help. Good for your DH!

Oh wow, that is amazing. I not sure my husband would know how to turn the iron on. He could manufacture a street sign in his sleep, but I really don't think he could press a seam.
And that is the sweetest thing for him to do. Maybe it is time for him to learn to sew the peices together.
