Unfortunately Jane Stickle didn't leave any instructions! And I've never seen the back of the quilt, so we don't know how it was done! Certainly sashing was used. I think its a "what ever suits you" kind of thing.
Show us some of your blocks! |
I would be pleased to know what a DJ is. froggyintexas

The writer of the Dear Jane book was rather stingy with close-up pictures.
I don't think there was ONE photo of the back of it. The Jane A. Stickle quilt (which is what I prefer to call it - because that's the name of the person that assembled it - I still have a suspicion that there may have been swap blocks in it - because some of the blocks are wonky!) Many of the blocks have many very small pieces in them. |
I think the quilt should be referred to as a JAS quilt - for Jane A. Stickle.

I agree wholeheartedly!!
I found a picture of the back and posted it today.

Are you quilting as you go?

I was and will continue for the center, but not for the triangle border! See my post "Ok, I give..."

Really pretty blocks/fabric!

Kitsie - where did you post a picture of the back? I am very interested in seeing it. I have 66 blocks pieced.
