My flannel stash from Joann's
3 Attachment(s)
Hubby and I decided to to take advantage of Joann's Black Friday Sale! The closest one to us is a little over 90 miles. We made it there by 5:45, the line waiting wasn't that bad thank goodness, BUT the line at the cutting counter more than made up for it! You know what though, I loved it! We are planning for it again next year! :)
We spent $283.00 on flannel and saved.................................drum roll please $917.00! I sent pictures to friends and they stated I have a mini Joann's in my home, not quite but I hope by this time next year I will! lol |
Wow!!! That should keep you busy and out of trouble for awhile! :) Are you planning to make lots and lots of rag quilts?
Good Shopping!! What are your plans for your flannel stash?
Holy cow moly!
Mainly rag quilts, but I'm thinking a couple of flannel quilts, IF I can build up enough courage to do so.
Wow! You came out great!
Oh wow!!! I'm envious!!! That is alot of flannel at a super good price!!! Congrats on your score!!!
Wow that's a lot of flannel!! Whatcha makin??
WOW. You probably know this but...when you prewash make sure that you don't put different colors together. I made the mistake of washing two smaller pieces together just to fill up the machine. I ended up going back and getting more flannel as I couldn't get the lint from the neon green off the blue. I will use a lint roller but it will take a lot of time. Learn something new every day. Have fun with all your fabric. I love to back my quilts with flannel. BrendaK

When you pre-wash, cut the corners to control the raveling in the washer, I was really surprised at how well that works~
