No borders but bind in red.

I like your red and white Hunter's Star quilt. I would use a red border of proportional size and bind in red. I think adding a white inner border would distort the symmetry of the outer portion of the block. However, I do like this pattern without borders which makes a more contemporary look. As others, I will be interested to find out your choice.

You could make the top and bottom border a different width from the sides and that would help to make it square.

I would go with a narrow white border and wider red border. Your quilt is beautiful and your sister is going to love it.

I added a small inner border and a 4 inch outside border. I used Kim Dehil fabrics so ir was easy to find borders. I can't post a picture from my iPad or I would show you.

How did you do your Hunter's Star? Did you use Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire Hunters Star tool? That makes creating this pattern a breeze! Check out her you tube video for this tool...........I am on my 3rd one........so many different layouts!

I used Jenny's (MSQC) video tutorial. It was really easy, but I'll go have a look at Deb's tutorial. Thanks!

Thank you! I think I am going to break out my crayons and play around with borders to see which I like best.
