I started a crocheted bedspread in 1980 when I had surgery to match the one my grandmother made when I was a child. After 31 moves in the military, I still have 15 whole and 10 half blocks to make. I have decided to make a great quilt with them now. You are normal!

I am working on 6 quilts right now. I do what I feel each time I quilt. I did 19 for Christmas and 9 of them 2 weeks before Christmas. Let him try to do one small one, but you pick the fabric and see how he does. You have to be a quilter to understand

Two tops finished waiting to be quilted; 5 sets of blocks ready to make the tops; one that needs a few blocks yet to start sewing the top; a few more in early stages of piecing and a gazillion in my mind yet to be started. Plus many small projects in UFO state.

Have at least 5 in the works .....you're normal.

Well I thought I was the only one who quilted so many at a time. I usually finish them before the year is out, but I am working on a king size for my son and have been working on it for at least a year. It is easier to start a quilt then to complete one. I am not alone. I am so happy for this board. I enjoy the conversations.

You are my kind of quilter! My daughter and son-in-law's tenth anniversary quilt is still not completely pieced. Their 17th anniversary will be this July! Thank you for letting me know I'm not alone. Pat

I really laughed at this because it is too close to home for me! You give me hope. I started one top then we moved 29 more time and I just found it a couple of month ago. It is in a completely different color style than I am now so I am trying to get emotionally attached to it again so I can get it finished for my grandchildren. At least that is what I have been telling myself. Did I mention that I hand quilted it strips. Most likely my best hand work!

I have one on the frame that I'm hand quilting, another one in the piecing stages, two antique Sunbonnet Sue quilts to finish for relatives and about eight projects waiting to be started- patterns and fabric already purchased.

This is where UFOs come from, see? :D

It is nice to have a caring mate. I had a male friend who would go fabric shopping with me when I lived in VA but now I live in Ga and go shopping with one of my students sometimes her husband drives us, but he stays in the car. We always get at least fabric the same, we sew 5 days a week for about 4 or 5 hours a day. Makes to nice to share. I am trying to get her on this board, it is so interesting.
