I think I'm jealous!! Enjoy GiGi!!

Beautiful! That's the nicest cabinet I've seen for a treadle. I don't think I've seen one with three drawers on each side. I have my paternal grandmother's old treadle with two drawers each and we have my DH's mother's with just one drawer on each side. They both need to be restored. I'm getting an itch to try sewing on a treadle---never have.

This matches the machine and the cabinet exactly to my Gramdma's machine. I thought I had lost it in a move recently. Only difference is she added a motor but I may retore the treadle. Good for when the power goes out and you can't think of anything to do. I am so glad to know what it is called. Looked up the serial number and it was made in 1910.

I inherited a beautiful machine also. I sprayed some cleaner on the design and they came off. So BE CAREFUL what you clean it with. I learned a very hard lesson.

Great find! I even like the patriotic top!

I have one just like her. Same cabnet and everything. Mine belonged to my Grandma. I don't use it. It sits in my entry hall. It has buttons and a book in the drawers. I left it the way my Grandma had everything in the drawers. She gave it to me when I was 10 years old and I use to sew with it. I can remember making an apron on it. It stayed in her house until she died and then it came to live with me. It did work. I don't know if it does now. But people coment about it all the time. I call mine Grannie. I love it. Some man came to the door to see my husband about Boy Scouts one day and he spotted it and wanted buy it for his wife. I told him NO WAY. It stays in the family. But I only have boys.
