That's exactly what my husband uses...he's a better cutter and measurer than I am...so he cuts and I sew!! He is a retired engineer so is very precise in his cuts. Lucky me.
Yes, lucky you....I've been trying to get my DH interested in something besides golf, and told him he could start quilting. Actually could start cutting. But he doesn't want to. Boo Hoo I guess I'll have to keep doing it. But I like the ideas I'm getting on here.

I bought a roll of double-sided tape at the Dollar Tree. I put a short strip of tape along the edge of a sheet of sandpaper and cut out the strip . I cut the strip into 1/2 inch pieces and stick them on the back of my rulers to prevent them from moving while I'm cutting ! Much cheaper than the package of little dots !!

What a great idea! I'm going to raid my DH tool box! I know there is a self releasing clamp in there somewhere...

I have taken a hot glue gun and striped glue to back of ruler and that has helped to stabalize it. But I do love the clamp idea, which I may try too. DH will never miss it. lol.
