Mystery Quilt pattern

I am looking for a mystery quilt that I could teach at my local guild. I want something new that hasn't been seen yet (at least here in Arizona). OR I would be ok to design one if there are some tips and tricks to turning the pattern into a mystery quilt. Any ideas?

There are many that you can find via Google that are already set up as a Mystery.

If I was going to use them for a Guild, I would make sure that I had made the whole quilt first, to ensure the directions are clear. And that the members would not be dismayed once they start.

In selecting, consider your members and the range of abilities they represent, and try to pick a pattern that all can do ... and not too easy (or boring!) for the more experienced sewers. Also, would they prefer one that is "scrappy" so they can work from their stash? or that requires yardage, and thus, most likely they would need to purchase.

Good Luck ... and Have FUN!!!

Why don't you try Heather Spence Designs? http://www.heatherspencedesigns.com/mystery-quilt/ She does two email mystery quilts a year, and the proceeds go to a cancer patient who needs help with medical bills. We just did one at a retreat, and it's pretty and not thousands of pieces.
