I read somewhere that Nexcare medical tape works, and it DOES! It comes in a 2 pack on a card in grocery for a couple of bucks. It is pretty clear, rubbery, and a lot cheaper than those plastic grippers that you buy at Joann's. my granddaughter just peeled the circle grippers off my rulers for some strange reason...Glad the tape came in a 2 pack...LOL

what a great idea and so much easier than smoothing out that grip paper..and did I say, cheaper????

I use dots from my low temperature glue gun on the back of my rulers. Seems to work great for me.

Wow that's a great idea. Dries faster than polish too. Don't know which to try first. Maybe I'll try it on my JT shape cut. It doesn't move much but depends on the fabric.

Omnigrid makes a produce called "Grip Ease" completely clear, is cut out and applied to the back of your ruler -- make just for this use. Frequently on sale....might be easier in the long run to spend a few $$$ for a product designed for your need. While I use a lot of DIY home cleaning products, those are your fingers which are getting near that rotary blade -- one slip is one slip too many.

I use dabs of hot glue. Can be scraped off easily if you want to. No salt needed.

If you run a thin bead of hot glue around the template - you don't have to be real accurate, but try not to get it too thick- let it dry and it will keep the template from slipping. I use this method on rulers, too.
