I vote for number 2. I'm not big on scrappy, but think this looks awesome in scrappy.

i prefer your first design. that is, if you want the stars to be prominent. the second layout lets the mind wander to more designs in the quilt.

I agree, version 2 makes a much more interesting quilt - the first one is too predictable and ho hum for me.

I like the first one you can see the star better. but both are nice. So whichever one you like will make a beautiful quilt. joyce j
