I think No. 1, because it showcases the stars and looks like many blocks around them.

I like the second one best. The stars are more subtle, and it appears to have more dimension. Both are lovely, however.

In the first picture I see stars. In the second, Baby blocks are more predominant, and the star aspect is less noticeable.

I too vote for #2

The first one stands out more and is really lovely! I wish I had your talent - but I am working on it.

As the other ladies said, it depends on where you want the eye to fall. In V1, the eye is drawn to the stars. In V2, the eye is drawn to the blocks. With that in mind, think what the receiver of the quilt (it could be you) would like. Good luck & let us know which one you decide on, and why. Thanks for sharing.

Both are very nice.

I like the second one; it's more interesting to me.

I'm for the second one. I see more than the stars as in the first one. Think it will be a terrific scrappy.

scrappy..that way if you should accidentally get too many of lights together, or the darks..etc...you won't really know it! also scrappy will keep your eye focused on the star, the planned out way will have your eye focused on everything else going on around the stars!
