I would love to have the instructions for the construction of this block. What information do you need?

I just went to that link. I came up with a different way of piecing it.

Thanks! |
Just goes to show that there is more than one way to achieve a look!

The proportions of the blocks seem different (original quilt design request and the block referred to in post #16)
However, that method does use two fewer pieces than the way I came up with. It does require four shapes - two of them reversed. The "piineapple" method mentioned by Peckish. See new attached scan: |
After looking at my drawings more carefully - the method shown in post 16 is the way to go.
After checking my math - the corner units will be too small the way I drafted them. (6 times the diagonal is less than 9 times the vertical.) (blush) |
Well - I would have made life easier for myself if I had looked at this before I started all my drawings!
Peckish - I have to bow to you on this one. http://www.quiltmag.com/wp-content/u...oliday-Alt.pdf On the other hand - I learned something even if no one else did! |
