Quilt Nan,

Thank you for sharing the PDF of the block's cutting directions. I see that some of the measurements include 3/16ths. What is your recommendation for accurately cutting this measurement if the rotary ruler is only marked off in 1/8th increments?

i would round it to the next 1/4" and, after sewing, square to the proper size

I like this block a lot, very patriotic. I will add it to my "to do" list!

Nancy - wanted to let you know the pattern worked out Perfectly. Block and borders together and getting ready to quilt it. Everyone who has seen it so far just loves it. You are going to help make my sister in law very happy! I am going to try and post a picture, but haven't been very successful with that lately....Merry Christmas. Barb

Quilted Barn Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
Awhile back, I had asked for advice on how to turn a barn quilt my brother made for his wife, into a quilt top/wallhanging/table topper. A very generous member not only advised me, but she also provided cutting directions and charts. Attached should be the completed top before I start machine quilting it. I would never have been so successful on my own.....this is such a great sharing group!

Draw it out on graph paper. It really helps me.
