I was also thinking of a casserole carrier, ove dress or perhaps monagramed towels for the bath.My parents once rec.'d mon towels for a house warming, and instead of their names or initals, it was Boss and Slave, which I thought even as a youngster was really cute. Maybe a monagramed table runner, that would quick and easy.
I like someone's idea of the 12 months thing, perhaps 12 month table toppers, that would be neat.
Keep us posted as to what you decide.

I saw a pix of a casserole hot mat the other day so I went through my pile of scrap strips & put a few together. I lined it with Insulbrite & 2 layers of batting. Backed & bound it. Added more strips for handles. Couldn't be faster.

You have probably seen this post, but I think this would be a great hostess gift and fun to make.

thats funny! I can't seem to live w/o King Arthur flour, sold in the northeast. I can get all the Martha White I want in the south. If you read the side of flour packages I think most of them indicate what wheat they are. I think MW is very soft because its spring wheat derived; great for quick biscuits. sharet

Oh, Boy! If I got one of these, I'd sit up all night and sing to it! Wow!

They don't carry Martha White here in Oregon either. Bummer. I have a recipe using Martha White's Self-rising cornmeal mix, so to utilize it, I'll need to order online some of that online, but will also order the flour too.

Aprons are really popular right now. It's nice to get a new one every now and then even if she owns several.
