QUOTE=aneternalpoet;4783374]How about the proverbial potholders, or casserole carriers using only2 fat quarters?- I found a cool link /tutorial for that - so easy, and straight lines really don't matter, cuz there are only a few 1/2 inch seams to sew with it![/QUOTE]

Where did you find the pattern for the casserole carrier using only 2 fat quarters?

I'm doing table toppers and mug rugs. Just started the mug rugs last night. Both items work up really quick.

Ok.. I have knocked out cutie mug rugs by the droves for my coworkers. Internet search "coffee mixes"..or hot chocolate mixes. Make up a bunch of some mix. Find mugs that correspond color wise with the mug rugs you've sewn (mug rugs are moslty just glorfied pot holders..lol). Put the drink mix in the clear holiday cookie bags you can find at JoAnns or the dollar store. Include the mug rug...and voilla... you have a nice gift.

I did that for my coworkers this year, but I ran out of time (today is our last day until Jan 3). I put a $5.00 Startbucks drink card inside every mug...and wrapped it alll up with a mug rug in the bundle...lol Cutting corners is OKAY.

This is great thanks for sharing.

10 minute table runner. All straight seems. Make them for whatever season you want. You can even make them into a tote.

If you don't have time to make something...there's this really cute Bernina I've been looking at.....

Note on the bottom of the site that is for cystic fibrosis. How wonderful that they support the cause for a cure. I lost three sisters to the disease. Thanks for sharing this pattern site.

Cut out a quilt and go to Lowes and buy a paint can and seal it. Put a big bow on top.

Zennia, do you have a pattern for the runner?

Make a cozy shoulder wrap http://www.nancysnotions.com/jump.do...=cozyshoulders or a bed warmer/heat pack for sore muscles/ ice pack
http://www.make-it-do.com/make-it/ma...y-bed-warmers/. Each takes less than an hour.
