There is a line of fabrics called "Happy".
http://www.inthebeginningfabrics.com...i?product=hppy The second picture was made with the "Happy" fabric. It was a very cheerful quilt. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t128449.html |

If you were making a quilt that would lift someone's mood. What colors of quilting fabric would you use in the quilt that are considered to be cheerful?
I'd try my best to find out what their happy colors are. I love blue/green/purple but some don't. |

I take my cue from the person I'll be gifting the quilt to -- find out what colors their living room/bedroom is, be observant as to the colors they wear, and comments they've made in the past about things. It will be different for men and women. But I'd include more springtime colors - yellows, greens, & blues and add pinks/peaches for women (generally) and probably stick with those basic colors for men....if I didn't have any information to help me!

I would go with pastels in summery colors along with a few brights in the same color scheme.

SKy blue, sunshine yellow, grass green. And white

I cannot find out what the person likes because I am making quilts and quilted prayer shawls for my local hospital for the Behavioral Health Unit.

Your other quilts and wall hanging are nice also. |

Do you know if it's a he or she? OTOH, if you're donating to a cause, the person in charge could send it the right direction. Yellow/orange/red is cheerful, too. |
Scrappy with white is always cheerful.
