Complementary colors, yellow and violet. Fully saturated, not tan or grey. Springtime fresh colors, like violets, anemone, daffodils, tulips.

Can you ask the Behavioral Health Unit for some direction. Each person has a different happy color combination and that might be influenced by their mental state.

I think of turquoise and salmon as a happy combination

Look at Lauren Burch Flying Colors -- the humming birds, flowers and butterflies are a good focal fabric and you can work from there.

Spring colours are very optimistic- spring green, butter yellow, warm peachy pink and robin's egg blue, with white sashing. I find primary colours and brights a bit too harsh in some situations.
