How about Log Cabin. Make the "light" logs a different width than "dark" side logs. Gives a curved effect to finised blocks. Got one on my to-do list. Please post pics of whatever you do.

This one was fast because 12 of the blocks are large half square triangles. 12 inch blocks. You could do a mix of blues and it would be really pretty.
