Lovely quilt doesn't need a border. But if you want one or need it for size, I would use the darkest color as my choice--seems it would frame it nicely.

looks good to me but if you want a border, the darkest color hides dirt and grime from being dragged about.

Thanks Auntie V

Glad you saw my post. I kept leaning my head sideways so started questioning why. Then it hit me. It is such a beautiful quilt. What is your backing? I would go for any one of the fabrics in the top. Perhaps half way between the light/white and the darkest fabric. Another choice would be to make narrow orange (center square) and wider middle color.

I would apply a royal blue binding and be done with it. Or red, or black or your fav color. There seems to be so much blending that a contrast would liven it up! It is a lovely quilt.

I am with the white, then a darker, then an even darker for the binding (or lash out and bind in white, which is not a great choice dirtwise, but could look effective).

I'm for no borders. The quilt is good just the way it is. A border would put those little squares in jail. That sounds rather harsh doesn't it? Just my opinion.

I would try different fabric. I would add an inside border so I would start with your lightest color which "floats" the quilt from the border. You could also try the orange if you didn't like the lightest color as the inside border. Darker usually give the best look so I would then try the brown.

I also vote for no borders. If you need it to be bigger, just continue the TATW pattern.
