It is a Pilot Frixion. My hubby bought me a set of them. I love em!! They are called erasable pins, but they disappear with the heat of the iron.

Speaking of pens....Sharpies has new pen out called Stained that is just for marking on fabric...I have seen samples done as graffiti on canvas shoes..any other unusual ideas...Also if you color some lines and such on cotton or silk fabric with sharpie markers, then spray with rubbing alcohol the inks will bleed and blend and can be heat set for permanence. I have done some silk scarves and and on fat quarters I really like the effect...anyone else tried this?

I bought my set at Target. I marked very heavy with the red on a white fabric. The red did come out with the heat of the iron, but you could still see where it had been. I will use them for some things, but to mark tops.

The pen has it's place like marking half square triangles, but I wouldn't use it on an area that would show.

They are cheaper in office supply stores. They were not made for quilters but as an erasable gel pen..
I got some on sale 2 for $3.75 in a small town hardware store.

I have read that this pen will show its markings again if it gets down to a certain temperature, but I don't remember what that temperature was. FYI to check on.
Oops I should have read previous emails. |
