Well I just got a look at the new 160 year machine, ok, I see what they did, it is all new and fancy but yet they are trying to make it look like the oldie! kinda like the Chevy Camero.... Well if it was like $250 - $300... I would get it, but for what they want for it...... I don't think so...... I have a Janome 9000 and a Babylock Esante and they would out do it in a flash.. But if Santa brought it to me........... I wouldn't be upset in the least!

Yup that is too much for a small bed / neck and lots of plastic, IMHO but apparently someone will be buying it at that price.

I have the Featherweight computerized machine and love it. It also has several stitches that can be used with it. HSN was selling it for $499 or some such amount and I bought it at JoAnn's online few months ago for $230 and I wouldn't trade it in for anything. This little machine is a workhorse and amazingly the only thing plastic on it is the case. Everything else is metal.

i'd rather have the original featherweight then this machine.

interesting info for sure...wonder why they made a cheap looking plastic case for it..when the ALPHA sew replica is metal??

Wonder why they don't have it on the Singer site> Maybe I just couldn 't find it. All I could find was the Featherweight 75.
