Who else received the notice in the mail about this new magazine? It looks good--definitely worth a try at $10 a year! Heck--it'll bring me more than $10 of joy just looking at the photos. If I actually make something from an issue--all the better. :-D

Jim's Gem 01-05-2010 04:42 PM

I got one of those too. However I already get 4 magazines and since I just got EQ6, I figured I did not need to add another one to the mix.

Oklahoma Suzie 01-05-2010 05:05 PM

didn't get one, but don't need any new ones either.

amma 01-05-2010 05:07 PM

What is the name of it? :D:D:D

Chele 01-05-2010 05:18 PM

I don't think "Quilt" is a new publication. I have issues from 2008 if it's the same publication. And I absolutely loved every issue. It's jam-packed with clever patterns, tips and photography. I've kept them all. You can't go wrong with a $10 subscription!

amma 01-05-2010 05:21 PM

and here I thought barnbum was teasing us with the title  LOL

mamaw 01-05-2010 05:24 PM

With the price of an individual being around $8, I took advantage of that offer thinking it will pay for itself even if I just make one or 2 from the year's subscription.
I know my friend got it too.

Eddie 01-05-2010 05:24 PM

I got that offer and did sign up for it yesterday.

And on a related note, I found that I had to create an Excel spreadsheet to keep up with my quilting magazine subscriptions so I wouldn't inadvertently subscribe to the same one twice, LOL! It tracks the name, number of issues, subscription date, expire date, amount paid, etc. Hopefully, I'll keep it all straight!

littlehud 01-05-2010 07:48 PM

I got one too and I'm subscribing.

amma 01-05-2010 07:50 PM

Online it is $14.97 for 4 issues....

amma 01-05-2010 07:51 PM

Good thinking Eddie :D:D:D

Pam G 01-05-2010 07:51 PM

Do they have a website?? I'd subscribe, I hate spending $8 for a magazine

sewjoyce 01-05-2010 08:07 PM

I didn't get a notice :-( :-(

BellaBoo 01-05-2010 08:26 PM

I've been picking up Quilt off the rack for sometime. I really like it. I did get the notice and I subscribed to it. I didn't renew Fons and Porter this year or AQS. I won a year's subscription to Quilter's Newsletter, that I dropped when it changed to art and fluff.

butterflywing 01-05-2010 09:00 PM

i get Quilt now and it's time to renew, but i sure didn't get that offer. maybe it's only for new subscribers. i'd grab it. will they give it to you for more than one year? if you don't use yours, i'll be glad to take it off your hands! i love that magazine.

i also like fons & porter, although a lot of people don't. whenever my subscription runs out, my dil renews for me. sweet child.

PurplePassion 01-05-2010 10:08 PM

I got the notice too. I thought that was a good price. And I need some reading material for me to take to work , when I am caught up and bored.

craftiladi 01-05-2010 10:18 PM

I love Quilt...I agree its jammed packed.

jljack 01-05-2010 10:31 PM

My current favorite is Quilt Maker; I have made 3 quilts from patterns in that one. Not sure I saw an offer for Quilt. I get lots...American Patchwork & Quilting, Quilt Maker, F&P, Quick Quilts (but I'm dropping that one). I also want Quilt Sampler, and I just subscribed to it. I like their patterns a lot.

kluedesigns 01-05-2010 11:57 PM

was this something you got from Quilt in the mail because the website didn't have that offer.

did you receive a web link to subscribe?

amma 01-06-2010 12:10 AM

They have a package deal on their website

http://www.quiltmagazine.com-sub.inf...FRKjagodlFIuUw

barnbum 01-06-2010 02:32 AM

I stopped Fons and Porter, too. I don't like much in there any more. I like Better Homes Quilt magazine. I get that.

I still want Eddie to come live with me! A spreadsheet for magazine subscriptions! You have to be the perfect man!

I shall be looking at their website. I just got a digital subscription for Quiler's World. $15.00 for access to the past two years and for all of 2010's issues. I thought that was a great bargain! But this is one might top it!

Mamagus 01-06-2010 03:54 AM

Booo! Their website is 19.99... I want the $10.00 deal!

barnbum 01-06-2010 04:02 AM

On one piece of paper from the info it reads "And save money at the same time by mailing your Subscription Reservation Form today to Quilt P.O. Box 422436-8265, Palm Coast, FL 32164-2436

Or do you need the reservation form? You could send your address there and see what happens. NO money needed to be sent at this time.

quiltingbee12 01-06-2010 04:43 AM

I have a question regarding the digital subscription to Quilter's World and being able to access the past two years' issues. Right now the offer is all of the 2010 issues as well as all of 2009 and 2008. What if you renew your subscription in a year? Will you still have access to the 2008 issues? Or just the 2011, 2010, and 2009? And what if I subscribe halfway through the year? Will my access begin halfway through the 2008 issues?

I can check with Quilter's World is no one knows, but I thought I'd ask here first.

I'm such a copycat. Would you care to share the spreadsheet (blank of course)???

That was a good idea to e-mail them. Please do let us know. I'll subscribe as that is a good price and I've been wanting a subscription to a quilting magazine for a while.

i'd check with quilters world for that infomation.

what i can tell you is that you can save all of the pdf files that way you can always have access to them even if quilters world takes them away from your account.

Oh, yeah - duh! I will check with them though, just out of curiosity. I prefer a print magazine, but it's tempting to think of getting three years for the price of one, especially when I haven't read the issues from the past two years. I did notice it's $9.97 when you already have a print subscription and $14.97 when you don't.

kluedesigns 01-06-2010 08:03 AM

i actually prefer digital magazines because i end up scanning the patterns i want to make into the computer any way.

weezie 01-06-2010 10:24 AM

I got one in the mail and, since I currently do not have any other mag. subscriptions AND the price was excellent, I sent in my "YES". These days, I buy quilting magazines for the entertainment value and consider it a huge bonus if there's even one idea or pattern in the magazine I like. I've gotten QUILT before and it is good.

OK that's way too organized for me - a great idea - but I wouldn't keep up with it.

BellaBoo 01-06-2010 11:21 AM

I just signed up for the digital Quilter's World. It's great! You get bonus pages in each online magazine.

i know, i'm so enjoying it.

Wanda_GA 01-06-2010 04:58 PM

I rec'd it also, and it was just offered for one year. I subscribed to F&P for years, but let it lapse last year. I discovered I never made any of their patterns.

I'm letting a lot of my magazines expire.

It took some looking but I found the website for the digital version: https://digital.quilters-world.com/?source=prntpg]https://digital.quilters-world.com/?source=prntpg[/url]

Thanks for the info, everyone. And, I find it interesting at how many of us have let their Fons & Porter subscriptions lapse. When I first started quilting, I signed up for all the quilting magazines I found. Have since learned better; not all are equal. One that I haven't let lapse is Quick Quilts. I've made a couple of things from there.
