I was bitten by the quilting bug in 1990. However, I didn't put my first quilt together until 1999. Jeanniebelle

Off and on for 20 years at least. Started with cheater quilts for grandbabies and progressed to piecing but still keep it simple.

Been sewing since I was in my late teens. Made my first quilt sometime in the late '60s. It was 5" squares, an old, thin blanket for batting and a sheet for backing. This is how my great-grandmother made them. Quilts were not for show then, but meant to be useful.
After raising a family and retiring from a 30 year job, I started making quilts again 10 yrs ago. I am 64.,

I have been sewing for over 50 years, made my first quilt 30 years ago for my 1st baby, and have been seriously quilting now for 6 years. Being retired helps and my husband is out of town a lot, so I have plenty of "me" time
