V, sorry to hear you have been feeling blue, and also sorry that quilting doesn't help. Fortunately for me, when I am feeling down, I can wander into the sewing room, sit and sew for a couple of hours, completely forget about what was troubling me and come away excited and rejuvenated by what I was able to create. I guess I'm shallow that way!

It's gotta be fun to see how you have inspired people like Ashley, though!

Rereading old quilt magazines will usually get me out of my funk and inspires me all over again. Or going on line and looking at all the patterns available. It makes me want to print out all of them!!!! I have so many printed out now, I'd need to live to 1,000 to get them all done! But I keep looking and printing out patterns. I am optomisticaly looking forward to a long life.  I will need it to get just a fraction of ll those patterns done!

Vicki.. its nice to know I am not alone when you say you print out so many patterns online!! hee hee... I have binders and binders of patterns downloaded and printed!!! I guess we will be the oldest women alive if we can't die before we make everything!

Boy just think of the accumulated patterns if either one of us were cloned! Like I said I have tons of them, just think of the paper if there were 2 of me :!:
Seriously, I get a lot of pleasure thinking about and designing my next project!

vicki.. I hear ya loud and clear!!! I feel I'm missing out on good valuable sewing/quilting time though when I'm here at work.. but then I suppose I need to work to support my habit!!

I'm not sure anyone would want to clone me!! LOL We would fall into a heap of fabrics, quilts and patterns.... never to be found again!!

So--here it is.

She's 10 years old and she came up with that? I'm impressed :D

Sad to say working is necessary to support our habit, but if only we could switch the hours around and work a little and quilt a lot all for the same pay as before :!:  Wouldn't that be great?

Usually video games help when I'm feeling down. If I'm really feeling bad I go to a friend's house for a night or two, take advantage of the cable and watch Iron Chef America and maybe play games there. I went there Saturday night and got into the .hack games again...unfortunatly, I don't know where my PS2 memory cards are so I can't play a game here and save it (I can find all the regular Playstation ones, but that doesn't do me any good). So for now, I've been just fiddling around with my sea map design...that's kind of making me feel better (not enough to actually quilt, though)

It will take time. Just be patient and the feeling will come back again. Remember, you can't keep a quilter down for long! :-)
