I just received an email from Nancy's Notions this morning. The main item showcased is a ruler/cutter combined. It's 27'1/2" long so you can cut WOF strips, and it can cut 6 layers at once! Has anyone used this?? Looks sensational and gets great reviews! Sort of reminds me of the Quilt Cut 2 w/o the heavy board..just the ruler. I will be interested to see if anyone has used this and what your impression was.

Several years ago Fiskar made one of these only about 26", I have it, love it, don't know if it will cut 6 layers of fabric, never tried, but several in my guild have them and they are much in demand. Didn't understand why Fiskar stopped producing them but glad someone picked up the ball. These work great, I use it almost everytime I cut anything. That and my Shape Cut by June Taylor are my old standbys. I have the Go & use it occasionally for specialty patterns or if I'm cutting hundreds of the same shape but I wouldn't give up my long rotary cutter ruler. I bought mine used and gave about $30 for it

I have had - and used - a Sew Easy Ruler Cutter for years. Love it! I consider it one of the basic necessities.

I received one of these for Christmas and just recently tried it out. At first I thought I loved it but then realized my strips were not straight but kind of bowed. I kept trying but finally gave up and went back to my ruler and rotary cutter. I'll probably give it another try when I have time and fabric I don't mind wasting.

I have one, I don't use it often. I found it difficult to cut the entire width of the fabric. I much prefer my Shape Cut ruler to cut strips.

I've had the old Fiskars for years and love it. I even have a friend drive up from MA to ME to spend time quilting and using that ruler. It was off the market for a few years so her DH bought her one for Christmas as soon as it became available again.

I just watched Elenor Burns use this in one of her videos, and I was thinking I might like one as sometimes my cutter goes off line and I mess up my cut.

The ad I saw, it stated it was for both left and right handers.

I read a great tip on keeping your strips from cutting 'wonky'.. starch your fabric before cutting strips, it will help stabilize your fabric for cutting. Read this on the Quilters Slidelock website.

I have this and it does save on your hands. I looked at Elenore Burns sight and got it on sale.
