I stick with Omnigrip rulers. I do however have one Creative Grid I believe. but my large and square rulers are all Omnigrip which I use the most.

I know what I don't like...the ones with the lime green on them. For me, impossible to see through, and that is the point isn't it?

I've had my 5" x 24" ruler with the lip on the end for over 30 years and still use it for every project. It has angle markings as well as 1/8" markings and the lip is invaluable.

I have Omnigrid, but if I had to start all over, I think I would go for the Creative Grid. Used my girlfriend's and really liked it. It has built in grippies and seemed to stay in place better. I do think it's wise to stick with a single brand if possible.

When I started buying rulers, I had not yet seen the tip to stick to one brand as the lines may be printed differently depending on the brand - so I have a combination of Omnigrid and Creative Grids rulers as well as a few specialty rulers. I reach for the Creative Grids rulers first.

6 1/2 by 24" with the 1/2 inch on one side shaded. Makes cutting 1/2 inch increments so easy.

I'll tell you what I don't like so much, is my Omnigrid. I have two nice big ones, and with my aging eyes, they can be hard to read. I too, would suggest Creative Grids.

I have mostly Omnigrid, but do have a few of the Creative Grid rulers, and am slowly changing over to them as I need new rulers. I think they are only available from quilt shops, not from the chain stores.

Creative Grid rulers are on Amazon.

June Tailor's shape cut rulers. It makes strip cutting fast, accurate. Love them!
