i believe the difference to be dramatic, Connecting Threads is so thin i would only use it for backing on a wall hanging. you can get Hoffman batiks at Thousands of Bolts for the same price as Connecting Threads. |
I really like them. Very pretty colors.

The ones I ordered were beautiful. But, I've not sewn them yet.

The Quilt in a Day Jewel Quilt that I posted previously was made with batiks from CT. I was thrilled with it

I've ordered some of them and been happy with them.

I've bought lots of batiks from my LQS and I see VERY minimal difference in theirs and CT's. In fact I think CT batiks have a much nicer "hand" than those from LQS. They are smoother and sew up beautifully. LQS batiks are rough and definitely harder to sew through. As you can tell I love the CT ones. Wish I could buy several yards of every one of them. Mmmmm..........that would be fun! :D

I was thinking of buying the Moda (I think they are called Moda Bali Pops, they come in strips of 2.5 inches. I was thinking of making a bars type quilt, Anyone have any ideas about that?
