I agree with everyone. I'm a much happier person when I get to quilt.

Cabbagepatchkid, try the basting spray. I use it even for very large quilts, but then I hand quilt and use a small quilt frame that I'm always moving and straightening out the fabric underneath. I don't know how it would work for machine quilting. Any commentson that?

I have to say it is also good for the heart in general. I live with only half a heart physically and a computer implant to keep me going. Dr has learned that when he downloads my computer the times when I have been quilting. Not only is my pressure lower but my breathing rate and pulse are also down. And the emotional part of the heart knows we are doing something for someone else; whether it is a new baby, a homeless person, new bride, a preemie, or for a charity to auction. I have called Quilting my Stress Valve for a number of years and my Dr agrees. He is also a recipient of lap quilt for his office. Of course he is a Cowboys fan so I did his in his teams logo. We still have to teach him to be a Broncos fan. Go Quilters!!!!!
