Very stunning love it

Thats right up my alley!

There is a similar design I want to do. I found it in a book about Japanese designs. It is a hexagon and the border template is half of the original hexagon. It is so easy and is great for using up scraps, not to mention fun.

thanks for this pattern I just love it... may be one I need to teach in the fall.

I looked on Amazon and found the Positively Pineapple book by Possibilities Nancy smith and Lynda Milligan and there were used copies for $3.00.
This is very easy to sew just the straight lines. I made mine with dog fabrics and it is very cute. i have all the blocks finished and just have to sew it together. would you beleive it is already pinned into rows. Got to get busy and finish it and then I well post picture. kjym Kathy |
I was looking through my quilt books and found the Positively Pineapple book with the ruler stuck inside it! I thought I had bought it some years ago. I'll buy a pattern/book/ruler and tell myself I have to finish the quilts I'm working on now and then I'll make this. By the time I'm finished the quilts I forgot about the pattern because another have to make pattern comes my way.

Thanks for posting! Love it!

Toni, this is so intriguing. I love what you have done with it. I love Log Cabins but have never seen this way of doing it before. Can you tell us a bit more about the pattern?.
|
This pattern is in "101 Log Cabin Blocks" by Linda Causee. If you like log cabins you need this book. They are all paper pieced. More patterns than you can imagine. Flowers, hearts, spirals, buildings, pineapples, etc.

Isn't this a hexagon? Octo is 8, Hex is 6. Thanks for sharing. Really like yours.
