Take notes of the people who entered the quilts in the fair and call them to see if there is a group near you.

If your local school has adult ed classes, maybe they have one for quilting. If they don't, ask, and maybe you can teach one.

See if your community has a homemakers group, or any group that does charitable work.

The Library is a good source.

I hope that you find a group to quilt with. Quilters are the nicest people!

I am in Cedarville which is about an hour from you. I work in Kettering every day which is not far from Dayton which is not far from Sidney. Also, there are alot of us on Facebook.

Too bad you are so far away. I'm in Ohio also and am a solitary quilter because I just don't know any others except on here. I would love to be part of a group also, but no transportation and funds are always an issue.

I'm sort of on my own too. 6 hours is to far away.

SOOO glad/unhappy? to hear someone else is in my same situation!
I finally found a quilt guild that isn't too far from me, so I am hoping to "find someone" there!!

good luck! hope you find someone. I may not be able to have actual contact, but I'm positive I get my quilt fix right here on this site. Face to face would be great, but make due the best you can, that's what I do.

I agree try the senior classes , if they don't have a quilt class now ask if they would consider having one :lol:
