I quilted one of these recently. My customer hand pieced it. Her color placement made the quilt look quite different. She never did tell me where she found the pattern. Here are links to my posts about it:

Feline,
I'm stunned to speechless...and I'm never without words. Your quilting is stunning! And how you came up with the design, amazing as well! Just beautiful!! Kif |

This pretty quilt has my curiosity peaked, so I tried to do a search for princess pea quilt pattern.....no luck! Anyone here find it?

Do an Amazon search for "Drafting & Design Simplified". There is a great section on how to draft hexagons and all the different shapes you can come up with using them---including this "kite" shape. Super fun and easy!

Isn't the name __?__pinwheel?

No, can't say that I've seen that exact pattern. It is very exciting and I can picture making it in a variety of colors.

My sister wrote to the museum and that is the name they told her. Princess Pea.
