Agree with the others - try rotating the blocks to give it some interest.

The blocks are nice, it's the setting that is awful.

I agree with rearranging. I think you may see some curve if you do that. Have fun playing with them to see what you can come up with, your blocks are nice its the boring layout your not liking.

I would find preprinted small panels around the same size, or a kids print in the same colorway and alternate panels/print with blocks, you would then have enough for 2 quilts and it would make it more kid friendly.

I would change the layout so there are 4 blocks across the top and 5 rows down. Then rotate the blocks so the red's are together to start and if you don't like that keep rearranging the blocks until you get a pattern you like. The colors aren't the problem, it's the layout as others have already said. Good luck and let us all know what you do with it.

Keep rearranging the blocks until you find a pleasing look. The blocks are pretty...they just need better placement.

Rearrange and use a complimentary juvenile print for a sashing that use primary colors.

Agree - rotate! :)

Yes! Turn some blocks!

Swimming against the tide of comments here - the fabric on the bottom of each block doesn't, as you said, play well with the others. I think it needs a darker color.

Rearranging - I suspect you've done that already. If not, that might be the answer.

I would love to see the finished quilt, so please show us the finished product when it is finished.
