Scarlet and grey...our family's favorite colors! (Go Buckeyes!!!).
I like the blocks without sashing, or light sashing with a dark cornerstone to keep the chain pattern going. Great quilt! Those y seams are worth every stitch-they are so pretty! |
Don, I agree with others with regards to light gray w/ corner stones. I also agree with ManiacQuilter and snowballing red rectangles! No Y seams that way!

Sewn together, the little darker squares almost make an Irish chain effect. I might arrange a few more to see if you like it. I also think the grey strip between them looks nice, completely up to you. It is wonderful that your FW is up and running!

I love the dark grey. It really makes the block stand out. Either would be pretty but dark grey for me.
