Thanks all, I was really not liking that blue at all. I did think since the sashing was dark brown and white, that maybe I could use the blue print as a corner square in the sashing, but, I think I'm gonna have to agree with you all and take out that blue completely.

You know, I sort of like the blue, if you put some of that blue in the border too. But, why don't you ask the bride? I think that would be a wise thing to do. If she selected the colors and the pattern, it might be exactly what she was thinking of.

The blue just doesn't go as one grouping in the center. I would add more of the blue alternating with the dark in a border to bring it all together. This is one of my favorite patterns.

I think it works especially if you incorporate the fabric or color in the sashing or border.
I agree!!!!! |
I would show it to your niece and see what she thinks after all she is the one you want to please. Color combination was difficult that she gave you. Good Luck !!

The quilt is pretty but the blue is jarring. Wrong color family to play well with browns and rusts. Would take out blue altogether - maybe put a blue backing on the quilt?

Hi Linda,
I see that you've made a decision. Show us what you decide to use :) I'm so curious now. |
I would choose another color.

This is my niece's wedding quilt. She requested browns, beige, rust white and blue. She also picked out the pattern. Question is, does that blue throw this off or does it work!
