Should I use red or green for the binding?? I can't decide!
I think Red would look great!
Great fabric choices-really frames your Santa beautifully, I love the Father Christmas style Santas! You're way ahead of me on the seasonal projects, I've got to get busy! Red or green would look great, but I think green would allow your Santa to really be the focus.

Great pieced panel! I think a dark green would look richer.
If it were mine, I would bind it in red. It is a wonderful piece. You done a fantastic job on it.
What a lovely quilt! I would bind it in dark green so Santa would remain the focus
I agree with the green! Red would be pretty but very distracting from Father Christmas.
I think the red. Or, you could go with the beige.
I like the dark green idea for a binding. I think it would lend a more serious tone for Father Christmas. Red would be pretty but a little frivolous for the theme. Lovely, lovely piece!
Green would frame the quilt without sending your eye to the edge of the quilt. A very nice project.

Cute, cute, cute..... I would use the dark green with the cute little holly red berries and lighter green leaves as my border. I think that combination would set the whole thing off nicely.
Green is my choice. Beautiful quilt!
i prefer red
I would go with the red vs green if those were the only 2 choices. You have more green in your border than red so I think it would be a nice contrast. If you're not looking for contrast, then green. Or, as someone else suggested, the cream to pull the center more into focus.
I vote for red
Green or beige.
I would do it in dark green. I thought red at first but looked and studied and changed my mind. Your work is great. Nice piece.
I vote for RED
Green would look great on this without taking away from the center panel.
I would use beige for a very narrow border and finish with a wider red border. Very nice piece. I love the old fashioned Santa.

.....or that dark midnight blue. |
I would use red . But then I,m partial to red. Great job.
I think the dark green would lend it a rich look that would only enhance the Father Christmas panel and not draw your eye away from it.
I vote red, but I always vote red! :)
If it was my quilt, I would opt for using red.
Dark green. That will make the red and lighter/brighter greens pop. You don't really want the focus to be on the binding, and the dark green will recede and let the design shine. Beautiful job by the way!
That's beautiful! I vote for dark green. IMO, the green would give it more of a polished look. Red would draw the eye to the binding, which would take away from the center design.
I agree with a dark green :)
I'm partial to red!! I think it would tie into the edge of the Santa panel.
My preference is red.
Green. I agree with those who say this would allow the center to remain the focus.
I would do a beige flange and a dark green border.
Red will make it pop and green will tone it down.
How funny is this voting thing... Almost 50/50. I would have to say red.
Red...in my opinion.
LOVE the quilt. Anita |
It is a small size so why not cream to pop from the edge.
green green green
I would use a dark green or dark blue
Red - my favorite color.
