What A cool idea!!!!!

Great job. I've put my fabric in my file cabinet waiting for my sewing room to be finished. I've been using foam board from Michaels on sale for $1.50 a sheet and cutting them into 6x11 and 12x11 to wrap the fabric. They fit wonderfully in letter file cabinets

That is such a cool idea! I'm gonna take a look in my DH office.

Fantastic idea.

That's a great idea. Do the folders bend with the weight of the fabric? I may just have to shop in my DH office while he's working, but what to do with the stuff in the file cabnets.

WOW! I am really impressed with your idea for the fabrics and the filing cabinet. I just wish I had room for something like that.
We are considering moving and if we do, I already told my husband - I MUST HAVE A ROOM JUST FOR SEWING! I currently share a loft with grandchildren, adult son, dog, TV, and lots of other things. I have one little corner to myself and it is just not enough. I will definitely remember this idea. Thanks a lot. Diane |
Great idea! I would just be very cautious about any oil that might be in parts of the cabinet (drawer extensions/roller areas). Shouldn't be a problem if you are careful.
