I takes a while but I take the back of my seam ripper, or a plastic knife and score the lines it helps in the chore, I also use paper form the dollar tree, in the kids section with coloring books it a pad, for drawing....I have to cut it down a bit for my printer, but with a paper cuter used for scrap booking it doesn't take long and for $1.00 you get 80 pages....I use to order my paper off the internet...but run across this when I was getting some art supplies for my grandson.....I love it and it's easy to tear off....and as always it's cheap...

I love to PP and I always use the cheapest and thinnest interfacing for my foundation and leave it in!! There are other suggestions for the foundations that can be left in and they work as well! Try it on a pattern that has just a few pieces in each block and one that is not so small!

I found 'Stitch 'n Wash' by Taylor. They are dissolving foundation sheets. A little spendy but ooooh so worth it! I hate tearing all that paper also. With this you can copy right onto it, stitch it, dip it in water and forget the tearing of the paper!

I don't particularly enjoy Eleanor Burns style, but I have found that some of her videos on quilt in a day are useful in getting a basic grasp of paper piecing.

You can buy Carol Doak's paper that works well in your printer. It tears off real easy.

Oh I love paper piecing! If you want some great free paper piecing patterns, Forest Quilting is one of my favorites.

I agree. Paper piecing is great fun. I'd post a picture here if I could figure out how this works now.

Thanks for all the great sites for paper piecing. I am going to do that with my next quilt. I love how crisp it makes the lines, points, etc.

Love paper piecing! Can't get a good 1/4 inch seam most of the time. With paper piecing don't have to worry about it. I learnt years ago how to PP from the internet. Then I took a class, but the teacher didn't teach me anything I already didn't know. lol But I did enjoy her class. There is a blog where lady started making PP blocks.
