I use Mettler, Aurifil and lately have been starting to use the Prescencia thread...and am really liking it.

There are so many nice threads now and with the improved manufacturing all the name brand threads are excellent.

CT doesn't seem to have any more lint than other cotton threads I have seen.

Connecting threads/ King Tut. A little expensive but well worth it. You get what you pay for.

I'm kinda smiling here because I remember my mom (I'm 60 to put it in perspective) thinking the Coats & Clark cotton covered polyester was the "good" stuff. I used it for sewing for years with no problem in a variety of machines before getting into quilting and getting "better" thread. :-)

Hahaha - I'm betting this was before the internet! It's amazing how much information is available here. Most of these things we assume now to be common knowledge in the quilting community would surely be things we'd never hear of without our handy computers. :)

I use Connecting Threads or cheapie cotton for piecing to be totally truthful. It really doesn't lint too terribly unless your quilting with it in my experience. It IS linty thread. Masterpiece by Superior Threads is supposed to be a good quality low lint thread. :)

I have been using Connecting Threads for piecing and quilting and I love it. I love the price and the thread, best of all my machines love the thread as well. I don't mind the little bit of lint that I have to clean up after a project.

I would stick with Aurifil and order online!!!

Connecting Threads is a wonderful thread to buy. It does not build up lint. We have a couple guilds around here and most of us buy from Connecting Threads because of the quilty of the thread as well as choices. You will not go wrong buying it.

Exactly! Many of us wait for a sale and buy than and split the colors when it arrives. Personally I like buying the sets of various colors when it is on sale.
