So do we get in trouble with the "teacher" if we go ahead on our own? I have 7 completed and a mess more ready to cut apart. When I was in 10th grade home ec I got in trouble because I only pinned my plaids to match and only pinned in the zipper without basting. The teacher accused me of not following directions. I had been sewing my own clothes since I was about 10. This is what I have so far. Pardon the toes.

Nice toes and beautiful, breath taking Pinwheel blocks. Love the color and fabric.

Is there a way of determining how many pinwheels per yard of fabric? I know it will vary by the size of the pinwheel but is there a general rule, say for 5 inches and 10 inches so that I can make a guess at how much fabric I'll need for a lap sized quilt? I'm guessing two yards but that might not be enough.

You are speedy. I had better get my butt moving this weekend to catch up with some of you. That looks really good

Wow! It's only the 8th and some of you are flying with your blocks!
Maybe I'll make you stand in the corner! I haven't started yet. I wanted to get a twister wreath top done before I start so hopefully I will start Thursday. There will be lots of days I expect that you won't be able to make any so your average might just be one a day anyway! Good of you to think ahead! :-D |
