I don't quite understand when you say 3 of the same med.

cutebuns 08-07-2009 09:19 AM

If you pick red as your med, you need three of them near the same shade.

k3n 08-07-2009 09:23 AM

OK - I'll be in BUT I go on hols next week for two weeks so may have to catch up when I get back. What's your timeframe for this CB? :D

cutebuns 08-07-2009 09:28 AM

Depends on when my sister leaves, Parents are coming near the end of the month so hopefully before then. I should have an answer by the end of the day.

MelissaK 08-07-2009 09:41 AM

I would love to. I'm not on here too often, but hopefully I can catch up!

Lainee 08-07-2009 11:39 AM

I will be patiently waiting for "Show & Tell"

sewjoyce 08-07-2009 05:11 PM

I wanna play too!!! (Groan -- like I don't have enough to do already... :D )

Jannie 08-11-2009 02:17 PM

I hope I'm not to late to join in!

LindaR 08-12-2009 05:15 AM

I'm going to follow along too....have never tried a mini and if its 39" then I can use it for my baby quilt committment at guild...we need to make 2/year so I'll bookmark and try and keep up

ScrapQuilter 08-12-2009 05:34 AM

Would love to join......... just as long as directions are there and we can work on at our own pace.- just in case I can't get to each step when posted.

I agree--count me in.
I have a lot on my plate (not french fries or onion rings!)right now but would welcome the diversion.
I have to be out of town next week so hope I can get caught up upon my return!

cutebuns 08-12-2009 10:00 AM

Great. it is so good to see so many people that are interested, everything will be posted and left there for anyone that is either late showing up or is a bit slower in the work.

I am just proof reading the cutting directions and will have them posted shortly, I plan on doing it on the 22nd of Aug, which is a Sat, for those that can't make it that day, the directions will be put out in one download at the end for ease of printing out.

I hope this fits with more schedules.

I will start a new thread on the day of, just to make it easy. For those that are just following along, I will be adding them together so you just need to download one file at the end of the mystery, so you don't need to download along the day, I will be posting them like this, so that you can read and see what everyone is doing without the download.

azam 08-12-2009 10:41 AM

I'll give it a try. Like I don't have enough to work on right now.

It is 24 inch square but they are 3" blocks so you can easily make up a few more blocks and make it bigger. Or just add some more borders,

If you need help doing it just let me know and I can help as we go along or later.

kwhite 08-12-2009 12:50 PM

I assume for a more scrappy look you can use more then one fabric to equil the 40"?

cutebuns 08-12-2009 12:53 PM

absolutly, you can put in lots more colors, though 40" isn't long, if you have several per 40" strip, I would add a bit more.

kwhite 08-12-2009 01:00 PM

Ok. so am I safe in having strips in multiples of 3?

cutebuns 08-12-2009 01:00 PM

Yes, I will even have instructions on using strips shorter than 40"

kwhite 08-12-2009 01:03 PM

You rock!!!

cutebuns 08-12-2009 01:04 PM

great!, I love to Rock!

oksewglad 08-12-2009 02:46 PM

Okay I'll give it a try--the "mini" part sucked me in--I'm checking out the scrap bin asap!

thimblebug6000 08-12-2009 04:30 PM

Sounds like a great way to spend the day, I hope to join in. Are you going to be posting to "Chat" like Patrice did when she taught the wedding ring class? Or just be using a posting in the board?

cutebuns 08-12-2009 04:40 PM

I will be posting the general directions in the Tutorials, and I will be in chat to help everyone along and see how everyone is doing, I hope to have another thread in maybe pictures so that people can show their work as they go along.

thimblebug6000 08-12-2009 05:41 PM

Great, thanks for taking the time to put this together!

cutebuns 08-12-2009 05:44 PM

I am really enjoying myself. It has been a lot of fun and I have gotten a lo tof encouragment along the way.

thimblebug6000 08-14-2009 05:29 PM

Has everyone already chosen their fabrics?

amma 08-14-2009 05:33 PM

May I ask how big this is going to be? I am thinking about incoporating it into an isolette cover and am wondering how I am going to do this....

kd124 08-14-2009 09:39 PM

Cool. I might give it a whirl.

cutebuns 08-16-2009 08:26 PM
