I have room for you here in Iowa. Have been in Milan and Bergamo; great parmesan cheese there. However, I have a feeling he will take you with him fabric and all (smile).

Pippa...when you move make sure the new house has an extra room for your quilting stash..or better yet a place with a guest cottage for your quilting studio & lots of shelves for the stash *L* Hope it all works out for you...Linda B.

OOh, Jan in VA, that even sounds good to me. Love the country.

Well I think you have found lots of homes tocome to and lots of ideas for getting that fabric here... you guys have provided several chuckles this morning... what would we do without all you guys to help us on our way!!!...but I am sure he would bring you & your stash no matter what...but just in case you have lots of ideas to work from!!
|
WOOOOHHOOOO I'm single too, so with your stash, my stash and pippa's stash, we wouldn't care about the price of fabric going up....hmmmm let's see, we could grow our own food, we could all sell our homes and buy a huge place with the most magnificant quilting rooms, lol (meaning we wouldn't have to work) and we'd have all the time in the world for quilting!!!!!!I'm in!!!!

I'm inviting you to live in MN. The winters aren't always fun, but that gives reason to stay inside to quilt. I have a spare room!!! I really don't like to clean or cook...so a good trade....
|
You girls are too funny!!ROTF! Even my DH is enjoying this conversation! Thank goodness I don't have this problem but if I ever do I'll know exactly what to do!!

Reply "If not, I'm not coming either." So I am looking for someone to adopt me and give me a home with all my stash. In exchange I can offer cleaning, cooking (I make a mean lasagna) or baby sitting. Please? I can't live without my fabrics! Pippa If he did, just one question..... has he had a good meal since that statement? mj |
Okay, come on. You can have a room of your own. Between your fabrics and mine, we will have lots of fabric to work on. I already have a sewing room, with great light. I am a fair cook and would be glad to learn from you. Do u have dogs and how do you feel about a handy man husband(he is all mine...I have had him for 42 yrs)? Do you like flowers, only a small spot, that don"t take much time from quilting? We would have lots of fabric shops to play .....I know that is a key point in your decision........LET ME HEAR SOON.
|
Your welcome to come to Missouri. I haven't had a "mean Lasanga" since I left Michigan. A lady from Italy would make Italian dishes for us when she couldn't pay for her doctor visit to my father. BOy was that some good food!!!!!
Sounds like we could move you from state to state..country to country. MAybe this is a chance for you to travel and see the world!!!!!!!!!! |
ah you live in italy! i'm on my way!
|
So find something of his that's important to him and tell hiim he can't take it with him
|
Hey Marcia
I'm in Ottawa, Canada and I have a 3 bedroom house to myself. You can even start touring Canada too. Since I still work full-time, I don't have much time to quilt but if you did some cooking and some housework, we can have time to quilt together. Paulette (notimetoquilt) |
Not take your stash with you? Well you would always point out if you can't take it with you then he will have to replace it when you get moved. And be sure to point out how expensive that could be. And then he can decide to let you just take your stash to save him money. :)

After reading all of these replies, I'm thinking of putting myself up for adoption! I'm a terrible cook, and not much better at housecleaning, but I can do beautiful things with concrete and keep the yard looking great!
|
You can come live with me and bring all the scraps you want. We moved one time and when my DH found the empy Christmas boxes I had moved I thought he was going to have a cow
|
this was the best. I was in my sewing room lol all by myself. thank you to every one.
|
Need to use your material for glasses, dishes and even your Pots/Pans) if need be. But if that does not work. Move here to Flordia with me. I have a lot of room.No cooking please. Hubby is a great cook.

I would start boxing and shipping them to wherever you are moving to. My niece's husband decided they should live in a large motor home and she gave up everything except her sewing machine (as dictated by her husband). That lasted a year and then he bought a large house. Sometimes they are unable to see how these decisions affect the move. Good luck. I am sure that if he insists on leaving the fabric, you will find a way to replace it at HIS cost. Teehee.

Thanks for this...It is great to laugh early in the morning...thanks everyone for your comments...better then medicine

Start investing in space bags. Your stash will magically shrink and dear hubby will be non the wiser ;-)

Notimetoquilt and I are only 60 miles apart, maybe we could share you?

Looks like you have plentyof offers. But Milan, Italy??? Who could leave that gorgeous country? I have visited there and just feel in love with Italy!!!
|
You can always use it for "packing material" to cushion your china and crystal or any other delicate thing that needs cushioning during the move.
