4. although I liked them all. Hard time choosing.

Yooper32 05-21-2011 04:47 AM

#4 for me.

QuiltnNan 05-21-2011 05:00 AM

I like #1 the best. but keeping in mind it is for a sweet baby, to keep it lighter, i'd choose #3.

momski 05-21-2011 05:02 AM

#2 is my fav.

# 4 the cream makes the star pop!!

mamaw 05-21-2011 05:21 AM

I like 3 and 4

trolleystation 05-21-2011 05:31 AM

I like the second one. I think that the cornerstones of dark purple add pop to the block.

PaperPrincess 05-21-2011 05:34 AM

OKAY, this explains a lot. I am color/placement challenged. Except for the movement of the dark purple blocks from the corners to somewhere else, they all look the same to me. Like I just spent two minutes looking at 6 & 7 before I finally saw the difference. It was similar to one of those cartoon puzzles where they have 2 images and you are supposed to find the differences. Your color choices are just beautiful and I'm obviously no help at all!!!

quiltingnonie 05-21-2011 05:34 AM

#5

ghostrider 05-21-2011 05:46 AM

I'm switching from #4 to #8...all the same reasons as before plus without the pink it is even cleaner and crisper. Definitely #8 hands down.

(you do know the human brain can only deal with nine choices at any one time, right? )

In #2 the star becomes a square with four pillars in the corners. #1 is a combo of those with a ring around the pillars, and #3 and #5 are balanced but with no major focal point. With all four of those, the eye keeps moving around.

They are all good, but I think #4 grabs attention and presents a much more united image than the others. My 2¢ only. ;)

Ghostrider--you put into words what my gut was telling me but my lack of experience doesn't give me the words for: the star in #4 really sparkles!

I like them all...but if I have to choose it would #3.
Your quilt is very pretty.

QuiltNama 05-21-2011 05:55 AM

#4

gramarraine 05-21-2011 05:57 AM

#2 or 5, they are both pretty. Nice color choices.

BeckyL 05-21-2011 06:04 AM

I like # 2 I think it gives you a bit of a 3 D effect.

laurafet 05-21-2011 06:06 AM

I like the last two. Maybe alternate them?

IdahoSandy 05-21-2011 06:13 AM

I like number 1, as the border brings out the colors in the center.

GramaLaura 05-21-2011 06:29 AM

I like 1 and 4 because the colors brighten the center star. Good luck :-D

KathyKat 05-21-2011 07:12 AM

They are all pretty but I like #4 the best.

JudyM 05-21-2011 07:31 AM

Number 3

Maggie_Sue 05-21-2011 07:35 AM

Number 2 and 4 are my favorites!

Dee Dee 05-21-2011 07:36 AM

I vote for #2. Beautiful Colors!

CAS49OR 05-21-2011 07:46 AM

I like #1. The pink really helps the star "pop" and the flowery fabric is spread out enough so it doesn't mush together too much.

My time 05-21-2011 07:50 AM

#2 and #4.

RDM 05-21-2011 07:53 AM

#4, then #3, but I they are all great. I can see why it was hard to choose.

dixiechunk 05-21-2011 07:55 AM

I like all but #3 - couldn't say why though.

hudgoddess 05-21-2011 07:56 AM

#4

ThreadHead 05-21-2011 08:04 AM

Fourth one

0tis 05-21-2011 08:26 AM

I like #2 and #4 - took me a while to see the differences in the photos - I thought there was something wrong with me... Now I get it.

KLO 05-21-2011 09:09 AM

I looked at these quickly and even squinted at them a second time and I still like #4 the best. Good luck choosing.

cheri stonespinner 05-21-2011 09:18 AM

They are all lovely could'nt you include all of them? :XD:

wishfulthinking 05-21-2011 09:23 AM

I know I'm no help. I think they are all good. You can't go wrong.

You are so funny! I am no help, either because I like them all!

Well, I guess I better not add the new one I came up with! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! I can do this! Thank you all for your help. Right now I am counting votes. If you liked more than one I am counting both votes.

dsch 05-21-2011 09:46 AM

I vote for #4. BTW, my grandparents used to live in Renton; it's a beautiful city!

CAS49OR 05-21-2011 09:50 AM

Seems like most like #4 the best!

katcox 05-21-2011 10:03 AM

I like all of the ones with the purple in the outer corners. But they are all really nice. You could them all.
