Ok. Here are some placement choices for the baby quilt I am working on. Which layout would you choose?

Number 1, Number 2, Number 3, Number 4 ....
I think they all look great!!
Your colors plays well together!

I like the fifth one because the lightness of the yellow lets the star shine and I like the placement of the pink squares. It's going to be a beautiful quilt! :thumbup:

So there are 5 pics up now. I have a couple more combos, but my files are so big it was taking forever. These are my faves. I am leaning toward #4, then #5 and then #2.

All are nice but like #4 more!

Depends on the effect you want. #4 becomes a medallion with everything revolving around the central star, making it the clear focus of the design.

In #2 the star becomes a square with four pillars in the corners. #1 is a combo of those with a ring around the pillars, and #3 and #5 are balanced but with no major focal point. With all four of those, the eye keeps moving around.

They are all good, but I think #4 grabs attention and presents a much more united image than the others. My 2¢ only. ;)

now I like #4, LOL...you're not making this easy :)

Just to make things more challenging, here are two more!

They are all good, but I would vote for #4 because I think it sets the star off better.

Oh, and the purple and black deal on the left is one of the pieced things I found in my bargain basket from the yard sale. It won't be going into this quilt.

I like number 6 - actually I like them all, but 6 if I have to pick one! Very pretty colours - lovely designs.

#3 makes it look like a patch work with the 4 patch next to star. The others make the star stand out...up to you..it's very pretty. Can't wait to see what you decide. Please post finished quilt, it will be beautiful what ever you decide.

Number 4, it just pops

It doesn't really matter. They are all beautiful, but if you had to make a choice I would pick #3.

I reduced them on the screen and #4 & #8 pops the stars the most to me.

I like #1. But they are all lovely. This is a case of "JUST CHOOSE ONE"

My first choice is the 4th one. The light colors around the center star really make that larger star come forward. The other layouts don't do that. If you only really want the center star to stand out then I like # 1.
