I used to dread doing the binding too, but it was because I did'nt know how, once I was taught how, I loved doing it. No one enjoys doing something that is difficult for them.

I love to do the binding. It's my favorite part of making a quilt.

Check out Sharon Shamber's binding videos on youtube, she uses glue and it works great.

Just go look, might surprise you, it sure did me!

I hate to do bindings. I usually wait until I have a couple to do and then just buckle down and do it. I hate them because I am a lousy hand sewer. I have taken to trying different types of total machine binding. I have just ordered a book about bindings and maybe that will help and I just bought a contraption that is suppose to alllow you to stitch the back of the binding in the ditch so it doesn't show as much. Still have to practice with that one.

Am working on learning how to make sharp mitered corners. The truth is I love starting quilts, but the finishing parts bore me.

I use the glue method and love it. No pins to contend with and if I should get interrupted before I finish it will still be there when I get back. Also great to use to take in the car and work on because I don't have to worry about getting stuck and can crumple it up in my lap while working on it and fold it neatly to store between work sessions. I have a hard time with binding since I have severe arthritis in my hands and am looking for an easier way to do it with the machine so it looks nice on the back side as this runner will be reversable thanks for any help you quilters can give me
