Quilt Shop in Alaska

Hahaha just got back from Alaska. First stop was Skagway. Wouldn't you know there was an absolutely divine quilt shop there. best thing is that DH really loved all the batik fabrics and asked if HE could pick some out! I think he did a good job. Now to design a quilt. Any thoughts??

I have been there, and it is a great shop!

For your quilt pattern, Storm at Sea comes to mind.

Great batiks! I would want a pattern that didn't cut them up too much so the patterns in the batiks are perserved.

HUBBY has great taste in batiks. Happy quilting!

Lovely fabrics and thanks for the picture of the store. Someday I would love to visit Alaska but it is unlikely as hubby went climbing up there in his youth and has no real desire to return.

Your batiks are beautiful. I was at that shop in June. I bought a panel with all things Alaska on it. I was lucky enough to find more then one shop while on a cruise, so I limited myself to one purchase at each shop. Good luck with your quilt.

I took the train with my older sister when I was 5 to Skagway. There was no quilt shop there then!! Lol. We lived in anchorage at the time.
