I actually created a tutorial for this but not sure how to post this here. If you send me your email address thru PM, I'll send you a copy.

I normally sell these for $8 but willing a share a few.

There are several videos on Youtube. Get on youtube and search "Quilt as you go".

I love QAYG. I have made several quilts with this method.
This quilt is a Quilt of Valor quilt I did with QAYG

I'm trying to attach the tutorial for those who want to download it but it doesn't seem to work or I don't know what I'm doing. I'll keep sending out to PM until this can get posted.

I've tried everything to put this online but the buttons just aren't working. Any ideas?

This is also called lap quilting. Georgia Bonesteel has a book on lap quilting or you can google "how to lap quilt" and get some good instructions. I've started a quilt top using this method and I like it. We live full time in an RV so space is limited for a frame of any size. I tried it on scraps until the got the hang of attaching the squares. It's not difficult!

i did a crazy 9 patch sorta that way..

i first made the block. then cut the batting the same size. the backing need to be 2 inches bigger than the block.

i stitched in the ditch after i sandwiched each block..making sure the top was centered. did all the blocks,then joined them together..i did a few like this..

I'm working on a QAYG now. The hardest part for me is the final "sew it together". It seems so hard to hold things together and sew neatly by hand.

[quote]what watterside is showing is different from the methods shown in Kimberly's tutorial.[/quote}

it is the "fun and done" method/pattern. my LQS has lots of different patterns. it calls for the "batting buddy" template, but you really just need to go 2" larger on the back.
