Bessie, I have at least 100 quilt magazines and my least favorite is Fons and Porter. I buy alot of them from thrift stores and you fine way back to 1986. It is very interesting. Good Luck, Suz

Someone somewhere is a very clever bunny to have made that avatar.. Mags.. I like having a magazine in my hand so I can read it while enjoying a cup of tea..so online are very good, but I like the real thing :D :) |
i really like Quilter's Newsletter. It has some patterns etc, but also has some interesting articles and observations. Not just pattern based.
I also borrow mags from the local library. This year I am giving THEM a subscription to a quilt mag. Have had local quilt guilds do the same. that way i was able to preview them all and figure out which ones I wanted to subscribe to on my own. enjoy ! |

Just wondering which mags I'm missing out on..? Well today I was thinking how I should get rid of some magazines but they would be so so expensive to send to you. If I find a cheap way I will. Have a quilter friend flying back soon but she is at maximum with wt. :XD: |
I like Quiltmaker and McCall's Quilting.

I like American Patchwork and Quilting And McCalls. I like to have the actual mag. that way I can yake along with me when spending time in the car. Good Luck finding your favs.

I used to take nearly all the quilt magazines but have been disappointed with the advertising, the cost of subscribing, and the more recent patterns. I have a lot of books and I frequently make up my own patterns and because of the cost have dropped most of them. I do like Quiltmaker and have continued my subscription to that one.

You have the internet, and us. What do you need to spend on magazines for? lol! I find lots of them in second hand stores. I even found the first issue of quilter's Newsletter!

Hi Bessie,
Google www.contentedcat.co.uk and scroll down to magazines. Joyce, who runs this site is brilliant and will try and get what you are after. You can subscribe or just buy a one off copy and you can click and see the index on most copies! Have you got loads of snow, we have had a fair bit last night here in Hampshire.! I like Fabric Trends and McCalls Quilting and any once a year Christmas Mags. Good luck, Regards, Dot. |
